Tony Robbins - Personal Power II - What Is the Secret of This Popular Course?
A note about Tony Robbins Personal Power II expectations and commitment and a bit of disclaimer about this course.
Before I write today, I want to emphasize that my writing about my experience with Tony Robbins Personal Power II is in no way meant to substitute for anyone's going through the process themselves. That was a mistake that many people (myself included) have made in the past.
"Oh, I'll just listen to the tapes while I"m driving and I'm sure I'll get enough to make some changes." That was the way I used to think and how I treated this material. There were some great nuggets I got that way, but it didn't produce the lasting effects I was really searching for. At the time, "good enough" meant somewhat better than where I was before.
The reason this course works for so many people is that they WORK IT. Tony Robbins does not have some magical power that somehow changes you. This isn't it at all. Instead, Tony has been there, and done that and was curious enough about how people learn and condition themselves for success that he found a great deal of pleasure in helping others gain more control over their lives and figure out ways to improve themselves.
He then took what he learned and parlayed it into a huge business to help the world find ways to rapidly make permanent changes on every level.
What I've found is that the secret to this (as in everything that is worth doing) is that it will take effort. After all, we didn't get to the circumstances that led us to pick up this course, overnight, did we? (Did you? Did I?) Of course not.It probably took years to get to this point.
My point? It takes focus, and really becoming honest and humble with oneself. Let the walls down. Let the light shine in the dark corners. That softness; that willingness to learn is the hallmark of maturity and wisdom.
